Bible Society organizes Essay Competition for Corps members

The Bible Society of Nigeria has organized its seventh edition of Annual Essay IMG_2009Competition/Symposium for members of National Youth Service Corps [NYSC] across Nigeria where Felix Emmanuel, a Law graduate serving in Ekiti State emerged as winner.

It is one of the programmes organized by The Bible Society Nigeria to help people interact with the Word of God. Every year, a topical issue is given to serving Corps members across the country where they have to study the Bible and proffer solutions to socio-economic and political challenges confronting the country using IMG_2006biblical and intellectual approaches. The topic for this year’s competition is: “Empowered Youths: Drivers of Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Growth and Development.”

Six Youth Corps members, who had the highest score in the written essay competition held in June 2018, defended their entries at the Symposium which took place at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Lagos on August 24, 2018.  Members of National Youth IMG_2006Service Corps are graduates of tertiary institutions in the country who undergo a mandatory one-year national service in the country. The winner of the competition got a laptop, a copy of the Bible and Management Books.a laptop, a copy of the Bible and Management Books.
