Founder’s Day: Bible Society honours Chukwuma, Bamigbayan, Arogundade

The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province of Church of Nigeria [Anglican Communion], Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma; General Overseer of New Testament Assembly Worldwide, Pastor Samson Bamigbayan and Managing Director of Sidmach Technologies, Elder Adebayo Arogundade will on February 8, 2017 be honoured by The Bible Society of Nigeria with the award of Selfless Service to God and Humanity.

The award is part of activities marking the organization’s 9th Founder’s Day Annual Lecture. The theme for this year is: “Mono-Economy: Antithetical to National Growth and Development.” The Guest Speaker is Pastor Bayo Olugbemi, Managing Director/CEO of First Registrar & Investor Services Nigeria Limited.

The programme, which holds at the AGIP Recital Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos, will be chaired by Mr. Ayo Opadokun, the Convener of the Coalition of Democrats for Electoral Reform. Also expected at the event are a former Head of State and Patron of The Bible Society of Nigeria, General Dr. Yakubu Gowon who is the Father of the Day and Captains of Industry among other distinguished personalities.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit-making interdenominational Christian organization that translates the Bible into local languages, publishes, distributes and raises funds for Bible work. So far we have the complete Bible in 24 Nigerian Languages while translation/revision is on-going in over 10 Nigerian Languages. BSN gives Bibles free to old peoples’ homes and orphanages, People with Visual Disability and prisoners, among others
