Bible Society Leadership Academy debuts with 39 candidates

Academy-1The Bible Society of Nigeria has started an academy with 39 candidates made up of 14 management staff members and 25 officers of the organization.

According to the General Secretary of the organization, Dare Ajiboye, the purpose of the academy is, “to groom a talent pool of God-fearing, young and competent men and women that will give room for the organization to have capable hands that will always be available and capable to take higher responsibilities when needs arise.”

Academy-2The programme which will last for 10 months has a total of 14 modules and 61 topics to be handled by
erudite and experienced professionals. Some of the topics to be covered in this programme are: Strategic Review during Era of certainties, uncertainties and volatility; Why strategic plans fail and how to avoid them; Leading for strategic results; Starting with God in everything; the importance of product development in the value chain, among others.


Among the members of the Academy’s faculty are: Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the UK and former Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Dr. Christopher Kolade; former Human Resource Director of 7UP Bottling Company Plc, Barrister Femi Mokikan; former President of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria [CIPM], Mr. Abiola Poopola; former Registrar of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria [ICAN], Mr. Olaolu Sowande and the Marketing Director of Fidson Healthcare Plc, Mr. Olugbenga Olayeye. Others are Brother Gbile Akanni, founder of the Living Seed Ministry; former Human Resource Director of BOC Gases, Mr. Siji Oluwunmi; District Chairman and General Leader, Cherubim & Seraphim Church Movement, Ayo Ni O, and former CEO/Registrar of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Special Apostle Sunday Korode. There are also internal facilitators led by the General Secretary, Dare Ajiboye, his Assistant General Secretaries, Pastor Victor Oluwadamilare and Pastor Kola Sokunbi and two Senior Managers, Samuel Sanusi and Deacon Ayo Durodola.
