Asiodu to Chair Bible Society Founder’s Day Annual Lecture

Former Presidential Adviser and Minister of Petroleum, Chief Philip Asiodu will serve as the Chairman of the 10th edition of The Bible Society of Nigeria’s Founder’s Day Annual Lecture which holds on February 8, 2018.

The Bible Society of Nigeria will use the occasion which holds at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, to honour the Founder/Managing Director/CEO of Mecura Services Limited, Chief Michael Ubogu and the Managing Director/CEO of Fembosco Engineering Limited, Engr. Femi Owolabi with the award of Selfless Service to God and Humanity. The theme for this year is: “Achieving Economic Growth and Development Through Export-Oriented SMEs” while the Guest Speaker is Mr. Debo Adesina, Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Newspapers Limited.

Also expected at the event are a former Head of State and Patron of The Bible Society of Nigeria, General Dr. Yakubu Gowon; the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode as the Chief Host; Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as the Special Guest of Honour and Captains of Industries among other distinguished personalities.

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit-making interdenominational Christian organization that translates the Bible into local languages, publishes, distributes and raises funds for Bible work. So far, we have the complete Bible in 24 Nigerian Languages while translation/revision is on-going in 10 Nigerian Languages.
